What's to do at Lake Brownwood?

There is plenty to do without really doing anything.   Doing nothing is an option but the lake and yard offer great activity opportunities.   There is swimming, boating, wading and just   sitting on the dock   with your feet in the water.   The yard is great for an assortment of games   during the day and after dark.

The Lake - The lake is kind of the gathering place.   The water is clear and rather warm near shore (because it's so shallow).   The lake covers a sandbar directly in front of the two houses.   The yard meets the lake at a retaining wall.   The lake is ankle deep at the wall.   It is knee deep at the end of the shared 32' dock.

Boats - There are three boats.   Each cottage has it's own row boat and they share a pedal boat.   There are a couple businesses that rent boats in the area.  Several guests have had good experiences with Guy's Marine in Coloma, MI. The Yard By Day- There are no fences in the neighborhood.   There is foot traffic along the lake.   Each cottage has its own patio, picnic table   and BBQ grill.   The yard has several maples and a sassafrass tree.   There is a good mixture of sun and shade throughout the day.   It's an excellent venue for wiffle ball, croquet, bocci ball or jarts.
The Yard By Night - It is an excellent track for hide and go seek.   There is a firepit to enjoy.   And, the fireflies are remarkable.   The frogs and crickets offer outstanding melodies. Games - The yard is a gentle sloping hill that adds elements to any game effected by gravity.  Be prepared for stuff to end up in the lake, even if not planned.
